It was during a reunion in Caracas, almost 18 years after the band had last played together, that the members of Tempano made the decision to reunite. It was thanks to the re-release of Atabal-Yemal, which by then had become an album much sought after by collectors, that the band decided to it was time to record three new songs to be included as bonus tracks. Their reunion woke again the restlessness and passion for music that long ago gave birth to Tempano. And now after almost 20 years the band continues to explore new sounds and experiment with elements of contemporary rock and different styles of music rarely heard in other bands today.

Tempano’s new journey began in 2000 with the ground-breaking release of their first album in 20 years, Childhoods End which was quickly followed in 2002 by “The Agony and The Ecstasy”.

Between 2004 and 2006, Tempano continued to gain international acclaim through their work on several compositions for international musical projects, The Odyssey, The 7 Samurai and Hell, all produced by Musea (France) and Colossus (Finland).

In 2008 Tempano offered the public a free download of there newly completed album Selective Memory. This work included a combination of re-mastered tracks recorded for Musea Records and Colossus, along with new compositions and arrangements that had not appeared in any of there previous work.

Throughout these years Tempano’s record sales were also correlated with increasing exposure at national and international music festivals where Tempano served as the opening act for such greats as Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), Yes, Kansas, Steve Hacket (Genesis) and many others.

And then, in December 2014 Tempano met in Miami and headed back to the studio where Pedro Castillo, Miguel Angel Echevarreneta, Giuglio Cesare Della Noce and Gerardo Ubieda began recording there newest work, Nowhere Now Here. The album has already been completed and has a release date set for the end of 2016. For the first time since the days of Atabal Yemal, the quartet will release their work on vinyl.

Following in the footsteps of previous albums, Tempano’s latest album is recorded without artistic compromise allowing the band to draw upon the kind of musical maturity that can only be achieved when friendship and parallel minds work enthusiastically together. For Tempano it is this spirit of authenticity and togetherness that creates the path on which they are able to continue their journey.
